Should I take ballroom dance lessons?
Lots of people think about learning how to ballroom dance, but they're afraid to make the first move. Some think they are too clumsy, some think they're too old, some are too self conscious. The reality is that now is the best time to learn how to dance. Think of some of the benefits of dancing:

  • Making new friends: dancing is inherently social, and it gives people an "excuse" to meet people.

  • Ballroom dancing is great for building self-confidence: after you get some practice, you will be amazed at how skillful at expressing yourself you'll be.

  • Ballroom dancing is great for couples: if you're trying to come up with ways to bring some zest back to your relationship, dancing is almost unbeatable. You'll be in close contact and it can increase the romance of your relationship all around.

  • General mental health: broadening your circle of friends, increasing your human contact and improving your physical stamina are an intrinsic part of learning how to dance.

There is no reason for you to watch other people have fun while you sit on the sidelines. Have you ever wanted the attention that people who dance well get? You can have it too. You won't make a fool of yourself, you're not too old and you don't have two left feet.
